Unable to open Sony Vegas Pro 13

I recently tried to uninstall and install Sony Vegas and after installing the software and I try to enter the Licence Key. It does not allow me to open the software. It says that my software's license has expired. Anyone encountered this before? I'm still waiting for the support team to get back to me. I was hoping for a quicker reply if possible 😌. When I go to 'My Software' page under the support I try to download the software hoping it would be the updated release but it takes me to the purchase page of Sony Vegas 14. Please assist. Thanks a lot.

Did you enter your licence key with dashes like this (example only)... 0bb-54gr-frs2-75pm? If you keyed in as 0bb54grfrs275pm (example only), you may get this licence-expired message.

Sometimes it helps to delete the old licence number and activation number from the register.
First make a backup of the register to be able to undo unwanted changes and delete this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Sony Creative Software\Vegas Pro\13.0\License
