Unable to register Titler Pro 7 with supplied serial number

FTech wrote on 12/2/2022, 7:21 PM

Hi everyone,

I've recently purchased Vegas Pro 20 with the Movie Expansion Pack Vol. 1 add-on. It's my first major upgrade in years, going from Vegas 11 to Vegas 20.

The serial number I was supplied with doesn't allow to register Titler Pro 7 at all via the NewBlu App Manager. The "OK" box is greyed out, unable to click it.

I have been corresponding with Steven from NewBlue to assist me. I followed the instructions to remove all versions of Titler Pro (including version 1 which came with Vegas 11), removing registry entries, delete folders etc. After removing all traces of NewBlue in Windows... I'm still unable to get this app to register.

I haven't installed Live2Stream and Vegas Stream apps at all, by the way.

I'm curious if anyone else experiencing this issue or have any solutions to the matter.

Thank you.

Remnants of the older versions of Titler Pro might still be held within Vegas Pro's program. If that is the case, then see if those remnants can be cleared by returning Vegas Pro back to its default (factory) setting via the process given in https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/

It's most important to check the 'clear cache' checkbox when it is presented.

Go to NewBlue support and post the issue there to get this issue resolved.

@Dexcon I've reset Vegas Pro 20 to it's factory defaults with the clear cache option. I'm still unable to register Titler Pro 7. Nonetheless, I've installed "NewBlue Transitions 5 Ultimate" with the supplied serial number and it registered no problem. I seriously believe the TP 7 Pro's serial number doesn't work.

@jetdv I've actually did contact NewBlue tech-support and been corresponding with Steven for the past 7 days. I've mentioned this in the original post. He gave me instructions of doing a "clean install of Titler Pro" by removing folders and deleting registry keys related to NewBlue and I still can't register the software. It was Friday when I told him the clean install didn't work. So I expect him to contact me the next business day. Desperate for looking for solutions over the weekend, I decided to post my issue to this forum if anyone can figure this out. I've also sent Magix support an email on Friday because I feel I'm already exhausting every troubleshooting options.

@FTech, like you initially I couldn't get TP to work. I also have TP in another editing software, but it is an earlier version, so wasn't sure on uninstalling everything TP related. But I edit mainly in Vegas and decided to uninstall every TP version I knew that was on my computer. I used Revo Uninstaller Pro to do it, since it hunts down registry items and folders that the "normal" uninstall via Control Panel miss. There is a free version available HERE. in frustration and wanting to get TP7 to work (TP5 worked no problem), I figured I had nothing to lose.

I also checked the folders to make sure there was nothing left. After doing all that, restarting the computer, then installing TP7, all was well.

I hope you get this figured out soon.

Steven, from NewBlue, reset my license with a new serial number and I can FINALLY register Titler Pro 7.

A frustrating 7 days finally came to an end 😅
