Hello,
I'm running Windows 7 64 Bit
Intel i7 2.8 Ghz
16 GB of ram
1 Gb dedicated video card
I should start by saying that I've tried all the suggestions in the knowledgebase. e.g., start up & services, cleaning out project media area, uninstalling anti-virus, etc.
I'm importing mts files from a Hitachi HD camcorder. They import into the project media area without a problem. They transfer into the timeline without a problem. All the editing is problem free, but when I try to render to AVCHD or any of the other 1920x1080 HD formats, the program crashes.
I've been trying out different computers. The first had an intel dual core 2.6ghz and it would render on some occasions, but mostly crashed (the projects were any where from 1 min 30 secs to 5 mins) and never in the same place and never it the same way. Sometimes it would give errors, sometimes it would simply close.
The second computer had an intel i5 1.6 ghz. Now it would always crash once it got to the first overlay of video, but again the errors are different and sometimes it would simply close.
Now I'm using an intel i7 2.8 ghz and the same thing is happening. The programs crashes at the first overlay of video, but again the errors are different and sometimes the program simply closes.
I've spoken with a somewhat experiences tech where I purchased the computers and he is saying that most likely Vegas Platinum 9 is not compatible with a 64 bit OS.
I reviewed Sony's website and now where does it say the system requirement is a 32 bit OS.
I'm wondering if others are experiencing this problem and is there a way to correct the problem?
Thank you for any assistance.
