Unable to uninstall Newblue titler pro 5 nor install 6

I recently purchased a discounted upgrade to Newblue's Titler pro 6 ultimate, but I cannot install it. Nothing seems to happen. Inspecting the windows event viewer I get 0xc000007b (something translated from Dutch like "cannot start the application").

I thought maybe the older installed Newblue Titler pro 5 I got via Vegas 15 suite maybe the culprit, so I tried to uninstall it, but a similar behavior happend but now for uninstalling. I cannot uninstall the Titler pro 5, and I cannot install Titler pro 6.

I tried deleting the program folders, ofx stuff, tried administrative, disabled firewall, anti virus, and even started windows in safe mode. I did not touch the registry yet, that will be the last resort.

Obviously I also raised a support ticket to Newblue.

But if anyone of the community has any bright idea's, feel free to comment (or try to uninstall their copy 😀)

Solution! Fixed! 😃
Update on the Newblue Titler pro 6 installing / Titler 5 uninstalling (or other Newblue install/uninstall issues)
I just solved my issue! I spend the last 2 days searching why it would not install on my PC.
The culprit in my case was windows own Defender settings. Although Norton Security is active, windows defender still seem to be active in a few areas, and strangely enough booting in safe mode still seem to have defender active (which I did not expect). So if you have install problems, open windows defender, next APPS and browser control, check that everything is "warn", next dive into Exploit protection settings (and here was my issue), put everything on by default, except Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR), put that one off by default.

I do not remember if I changed these settings myself in the past (in view of the specter/meltdown security debacle) or it was windows default. It seems that not all APPS or program install/uninstall .exe have issues with my particular setting, but the Newblue installer/uninstallers certainly do. I hope someone can benefit from this.
