uncompresed video editing

Ladies and Gentlemen:

We're looking at getting a Vegas Video system for
uncompressed video editing and not planning on capturing
from DV devices, so we're thinking along the lines of a
Matrox Digisuite or similar for video I/O hardware. I was
wondering if anyone out there working with uncompresed
video has an opinion as to what platforms/hardware they
like. Thanks.

Vegas has very limited Digisuite support- you can use Matrox
Digisuite to capture video and audio as separate streams (1 .avi,
2 .wav's), bring those separate files into Vegas to edit and render
uncompressed video, and Digisuite to print back to tape. All other
Digisuite features (realtime fx, playback off timeline through the
Digisuite, etc) are unsupported at this time.
