Uninstalling Vegas

The lease on my computer is expiring and my employer is repealing the current PC and issueing a new PC. If I uninstall Vegas, is that change comprehended by Sony so that installation on the new PC will not appear as a licensing violation?

You can install Vegas on up to three PCs without a license violation. The restriction is you are not allowed to use it on several PCs at the same time.

Once again, i don't believe SONY ever mentions a number of allowed installs. I don't know where "3" or "6" or "2" comes from, other than being passed on as a rumor here in this forum.

That aside, you may install it on multiple computers as long as you only use it on one at a time.

And *that* aside, i would say you *MUST* uninstall it from the old computer since it will no longer be used by the Vegas licensee (you). Whoever gets it next won't own the license that's installed on it, so they shouldn't be allowed to use it.

And *that* *that* aside (i promise, this is the last one!), whether you uninstall it from the old computer or not, you'll still be able to install it and use it on the new one anyway. It's just better if you uninstall it for the reason mentioned in the previous paragraph.
