Unlocking Audio from Video

Hi
Can anyone tell me how to unlock the Audio from the video so I can delete the video without deleting the Audio and vice versa?

I know that it can be done in 8 Movie Studio Platinum because I did it accidently and then had to reload the program but can't duplicate it.

The manual is terrible and I just ordered an aftermarket one. I have been using this program for many-many years when it was under another name before Sony bought it but the Sony version doesn't tell you how to do it.

Thanks in advance
Frank

Just highlight the audio or video event and press (U) for ungroup. Then select either the audio or video and delete.
Vegas brings in the audio and video for an event grouped by default.

Or... you can right click and drag the video event and drop it on the time line and a menu will open up asking if you want only video, only audio or both.

Thanks, that was easy enough. I was hoping that the Sony version of Video Explosion by NOVA was better and slowly but surely I'm finding that out. I bought 8 and playing with the trial version of 9. I'm so excited to find out that my favorite editing program still exists but under a different name. I just couldn't understand why they stopped making it and then accidently found out it was Vegas. Now I'll get rid of my $2-3,000 programs that are a nightmare to use.

Thanks again
