Unwanted blinds transition FX

Sometimes when I drag a clip to the left and expect a dissolve, instead I get a vertical blinds transition.

Pro 9 bug?

If you had previously applied this transition to the clip it remembers that even though you may have removed the fade. Even if you split a clip that has a transition and then crossfade the split section with another clip, it will use the transition from the original clip. Vegas has always had this behavior.

I see... In this particular project I had not use and blinds... but I suppose I have must have selected this without knowing while working too fast with a project here... It makes sense what you say and it behaved as if that very well could be the explanation.
