is there ever going to be a much needed update to this buggy program? i have been using cd architect 4.0 for years without ever having a single problem. upon installing sound forge 6.0, i'm now no longer able to use cda 4.0. i've been having nothing but problems with version 5.0. i cannot shift track markers the "old way" by editing times in the pq list, i have VERY noticeable glitches in between tracks & the burn speed is never accurate - if i choose 12.0x it burns at 8.0x, if i choose 24x it burns at 16x etc. i really hope my faith is restored in this version with an update.

thanks guys,
Carmine.

Yes, there are things to fix in CDA5, for example, the bug with full CD erase that does not work. Once again, this bug has been confirmed by the technical support a long time ago, but no update since then.

Read this topic (answer by SonicDennis).

I do not understand why Sonic Foundry do not post CDA updates.

I'm a professional programmer (in business applications) and I do my best to fix bugs and make improvements as soon as I can, almost every day... That's THE job of all application designers.

Users pay for quality software.
Otherwise "Don't pay for bugs, get a crack instead". That's all the danger...

Yeah, I see that Nero's comin out with 6, and my experience with them is they come out with SOMETHING every month, and don't wait on their FAT asses for customers to let them know, hey, THEY KNOW what the customer wants...same goes for almost every other SOFO app...it's very disappointing, and should make the whole company feel depressed, instead they feel unabashed...what the hell, over..? mise well be talkin thru a walkie-talkie or a couple cans tied together with string...I'm sorry stusy, what was that..? what did you say..? well, what do YOU think is needed..? I'm sorry, what...? oh there's no need for swearing...look, I don't know if we like your posts...

That's odd - I can type in start/finish/length times directly. My burn speed is correct, and never any audio glitches either, with extensive proffessional-level use.
