Update fail

Hi All

Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum.....Build 204

I keep getting a popup to update the software,when I accept to update now, I get a download progress of 400 odd MB after it finishes I then get a popup... cannot update while Movie Studio is running ,I close Movie Studio and then nothing happens,I have tried many times to update but to no avail.does anybody know what is happening or if it is even worth updating I have also searched my download folder and everywhere I can think of but fail to find the update download exe file.

The last build of VMS 17 was build 223 - this 2 is updates beyond build 204. The best way to get this is to go to My Products on your MAGIX My Account and install MVS17 build 223 from the installer shown under the VMS 17 listing. For some years now, the MAGIX installer has not left the .exe file on the computer after an installtion via the updater within the program or via the installer from My Products - with Vegas Pro anyway.

Thanx I will try that do you know if will it install over the version I have or should I uninstall it?

It should install over the exisitng install without the need to first uninstall. When opening the new build, the activation process should then appear but that should only be a need to hit OK a couple of times and without the need to code anything like the serial number which should automatically populate the activation screen.

I'm experiencing the same problem and have followed the same instructions above......unsuccessful! I've uninstalled and re installed and still cannot download program updates!! WTF

Some have encountered difficulties downloading from MAGIX's website when using the Chrome browser. If you have been using Chrome, perhaps try downloading with a different browser.
