Update soft Vegas pro with offer "VEGAS Edit" or "VEGAS pro"

Hello,

I own Sony Vegas pro 8
I only use this software, and I want to update it.

The offer "VEGAS EDIT" seems to be the most appropriate for me, because it inclued Vegas pro 19
The other offer "VEGAS Pro", even if the name is more calling me, if I understand well inclued far more things, and it's not my prupose.

So, I can upgrade my Sony Vegas 8 with the "VEGAS edit" offer ?

(sorry for mistakes, english isn't my language)

You should be able to get the upgrade price for the Edit package, which just includes the editing software and not the other software in the "Pro" package.

I recommend checking if your system is good enough to run it well. Consider doing a free trial if you're not sure: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/specifications/

I also found the descriptions confusing and mentioned that with wrong information from me on this thread:

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/upgrade-vegas-pro-version-12-0-to-yes-what-package--134789/#ca841058

User jetDV clarified it thus:

You're confusing "packages" with "products"

Vegas Edit - the package - includes VEGAS Pro - the product

Vegas Pro - the package - includes VEGAS Pro - the product plus VEGAS Stream

Vegas Post - the package - includes VEGAS Pro - the product plus the extra post products
I bought my upgrade as "Vegas Pro 19 Edit" as it does indeed do everything without the extras that I do not need.

Be aware though that some users are experiencing significant issues with version 19 build 636 as described in other recent threads. Check your computer spec. is sufficient and also make a note of all the Preferences etc that you may need to re-enter.

@Peter-Riding, also be aware that build 636 is the most stable build a huge number of us have seen as well. Build 636 works great on my system.

636 works fine for most. I wouldn't expect preferences to carry over from 8 to 19 given all that has changed over the years so expect to customize settings for 19.
