Updated to 403, new errors windows and taking forever to load video

Ok, so I updated to the emergency build 403
and now there are a bunch of problems

I keep getting some new window that says "vegas is working" I have never seen this before

soon after i get a restart prompt because it's taken a long time.

This is happening when I load videos... this is happening even if I do it one at a time, let alone grab 3 or 4 at a time

same issue when I drag them into the timeline or use the import media button.

There has always been some of these issues but NEVER like this since the new version and these error windows are also new to me??

Did you reset Vegas Pro?
If not start Vegas by using the startpic while holding the Shift and CTRL keys of your keybord down.
Accept deleting your cached files and let the program starts again.

Vegas is working means it's taking a long time to complete a task and if you think it hung you can close it and report the error.

But no, I do not want to reset the settings and I can figure out by the messages "why" they are showing, the question is:

Why when I had to emergency upload a new version of V20 I "all of a sudden" had these messages show up (is it just a coincidence that they are first implemented in this version? Were they always there and I never saw them etc?) AND it's almost impossible to import longer files... the was NOT the case before.

Can someone from Vegas tell me if there is a reason that this hastily pushed out version is affecting me like this? I find it hard to believe that things were slow before and then suddently they are so slow as to be almost unusable. What changed????
