I can confirm that RED 5 will have an improved integration with Vegas 10. We hope to have some long-standing limitations such as preview with alternative frames of host video and ability to read the effect duration from the host will be resolved thanks to the new, improved effects architecture in Vegas 10. Stay tuned for announcements.

I have been waiting for this for years. Sony is one step from being the top NLE for Independent video/film makers tool. This will really open up Vegas composting feature.
Also, this open up a whole new market for Vegas advance tutorials. Just like Avid, Boris, Video CoPilot, Digital Juice and Zaxwerks have really step up the different training videos in the last 4-5 years.
Vegas have over hundred different feature sets of effects/filters that you never use or don’t know how or when to use.
Whoever develops a multi level composting and 3 D transfer mode demos for Vegas will rule Vegas training force? I remember when Total Training was king of After Effect training, not anymore; there are so many others to pick and choose from.
However, in Vegas, most of the tutorials are prosumer style. As a matter of fact... I am learning how to be a better film editor watching Avid video tutorials and apply those same techniques to the Sony Vegas workflow. Now, with Boris Red 5 and Sony Vegas 10 will have improve integration and then you add After Effects in the mix. That all you need to create!!!
