Upgrade and backward compatibility

Hello.
I currently own Vegas 4 + DVD 1. I intend to upgrade to Vegas 6 + DVD 3. Are there any backward compatibility issues with my existing files?

I've never had any problem opening older files in newer versions. However, once you've saved a file in a newer version you can never open it in the older version again. You might want to make backup copies just in case.

Plug-ins that you use in Vegas 4 and before may not work in the new version. Spot or Sony tech could give specifics i am sure.
