Upgrade from Vegas LE?

Okay, I want to upgrade to Movie Studio (for 39.95) from an old Vegas LE 3.0 and the website says it's possible from any previous Vegas product but it won't take my serial number! Says it's invalid.

It WILL let me upgrade to Vegas 6.0, but for 575.00 USD I can't afford to do that. I just want to edit my daughter's ice skating footage and make copies for family.

Unless someone here has an answer, I'm stuck with Pinnacle Studio. The Vegas LE doesn't have the features I need. Help? Anyone?

You probably won't get an answer to this in the forums, since the only people who can answer this are SONY's customer service department. I suggest you give them a call directly. 800.577.6642 (toll free) 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday. They'll give you an answer and if you like the answer they'll place the order for you right then.

Pinnacle Studio? You must be kidding?

Do youself a favor and get rid of it and upgrade to Sony Movie Studio Platinum. The continued heartache isn't worth it.

I know Steve. Thats why I want the Movie Studio software. Tired of all the crashes and slowness of Pinnacle. I put an e-mail request into customer service so I'll let y'all know how that turns out. I've upgraded both Acid and Sound Forge before with no problem. _Cudgel
