Upgrade installation

Vegas Movie Studio 16 Suite

OS: Windows 10 64 bit

Core i5-7500, 16GB RAM

Firewall: Sophos Home (network edge UTM, NOT local computer based such as Windows Defender)

So I finally gave in and bought the upgrade for my Movie Studio 11. Yes, I know - I'm slow. The installer dlm downloaded, but running it sits endlessly not-doing-much (screenshot enclosed). I've followed down this thread here:

But, in essence, it says 'turn off your firewall'. Well, my Sophos isn't host based, it's a standalone edge-firewall/ router. If I turn it off, nothing gets out.

Looking at my logs, I'm not seeing any repeated errors for particular servers (Magix or otherwise), and nothing obvious in port failures for TCP or UDP. However, something must be failing. Might anyone know what servers/ ports the install uses so I can open relevant paths through the SOPHOS?

For anyone in the same boat, after talking to technical support, I added file size and type rejection exceptions for magix.com and magix.net, and made sure 80 and 443 were open (which of course they were). I didn't black box each change, but by doing both domains downloads successfully initiated. My bet is I was getting file type exclusions for one or both - but I'll work through the logs to confirm it.
