Upgrade w/ New PC

I'll probably be getting a new PC in a couple of weeks, and I'm considering upgrading fro Vegas 4 at that time as well. Since it'll be a new PC, will I need to install V4 on it first before I can upgrade, or can I just purchase the upgrade and install only V8 on the new PC?

If you purchase the upgrade from Sony, Vegas 4 does not need to be installed first.

You can just install Vegas 8 on the new PC.
