Upload problem

I went to upload my movie on two seperate sites (youtube and ManiaTV) and both sites (after a hundred tries I got tired) said that my firewall was disrupting the upload. I turned my windows firewall off. Still it did not work. My computer is connected to a newtowrk which all four computers in the house are connected to. We all turned our computers firewalls off. Still It did not work. Then I found my aol firewall was still truned on. I went to turn it off but I could not. What I did to turn it off was go into the secuirity center and clicked the green on light, which only brought down a menu which had information about how great firewalls are. Well I think they fo more harm thean good. Does anybody have a clue of how to fix my problem?????????????? -Thanks

Step one - dump AOL and get a real ISP.

Anything but AOL.

Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is the company that you buy your internet access from. It can be the phone company any of dozens of other national providers and, if you're lucky, a small independent local ISP. The small local IPS has the advantage of delivering actual customer service because they don't have so many customers that they can be indifferent to your needs.

Go to dslreports.com and broadbandreports.com and search for your city. The sites are confusing at first (OK, they are a mess) but you will get a real user's opinion of the various providers in your area.

If you already have DSL or Cable connection to the Internet, then why do you keep AOL? You probably already have an email account through your service provider.

If you have a business, you should have a web site. Use a web hosting service like GoDaddy and you'll get all the e-mail accounts you need plus inexpensive hosting.

But, I ramble.
