upper and lower field first from one scene

When I capture (VV3c) one scene from DV camera I get several clips instead of one and they are different field order- some are upper and others lower field first. It's strange because all of them should be one field only, and I should get one clip from one scene anyway. Please help me because it influences my output.

Hi Jarus,

You might consider turning-off automatic scene-detection in capture, or setting a minimum clip length.

You coud then "sub-clip" by saving regions using the trimmer.

I too have noticed VV3 clips having field order changed on captured clips.
I discovered this when checking the file on TV monitor as I was getting intermittent shaky motion, which you would expect with incorrect field order.

When I checked my project I discovered about a quarter of them had changed to upper field first. I manually changed them back to lower field first & now the output is OK.

Yes, I've tried batch capturing with no luck. I think VV changes the field order during batch capture in the same way as with scene detection enabled. How do I know it? Because there are the same distortions (in audio or video or both) during playback. It happens at the same points (where the field order changes) as with seperate clips when I put them on timeline. Is it possible to change field order during capture or there is another explanation? I didn't have problems with capturing in Ulead MSP with the same hardware.
