USB Capture

Am trying Movie Studio for a friend. He would like to capture from his Panasonic Nv-gs150 with usb2. It only seems to capture video, no audio. Firewire is ok and Scenalizer captures sound ok also on usb. Is it to do with the trial version or is usb and movie Studio a no go??

Don't use USB. Use firewire instead. The USB connection is NOT intended to be used for good video capture.

Another advantage of Firewire, aka IEEE 1394, i.Link, is that you can control your camcorder from your computer. Meaning you can press play, pause, stop, start, fast forward, etc from your computer and it controls your camcorder. It comes in handier than you may think.

And just an FYI that some people don't know, the term "Firewire" is actually a trademark of Apple, and the IEEE 1394 is the generic term for it, and Sony calls their firewire i.Link.

(someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's accurate)
