Using already rendered elements in a project VV4

I like to have animated logos and some other frequently used elements redered as avi or mpeg2 files. In VV3 I used the AVI versions in projects without an issue. In VV4 when I use an AVI that I render it comes out looking fuzzy when I render the new project. It used to look sharp in VV3. Is there a setting I am missing?

Is this during preview or during Print To Tape? If it is during preview, try setting the preview to "Preview Full"

No. It's not during print to tape. This happens when I render to any format. I also experimented with different input formats including mpeg and wmv. Same result. It gets fuzzy when it is re-rendered. I used to to this in VV3 with no issues.

So, it looks "fuzzy" when playing back from the timeline? Once again, check the preview settings and see if they make a difference. Vegas 4 previews differently than Vegas 3.

No it looks fuzzy when I render the project, not in preview. In preview it looks fine.
