Using DVDA-Finding rendered file

chuckerst wrote on 2/27/2004, 4:21 AM
O.k. I have rendered my video in Vegas as a Pal and the audio as AC3 as suggested. My question is-what then? If I open DVDA after I have rendered these files are nowhere to be found!! I have a second hard drive just for this so it isn't hard to see what's on it-I assigned it to this hard drive-but it just doesn't go there!1 Do you have to save it after you render?? I am so confused! Thanks to anyone and everyone!

Can you see the files you've created in Windows explorer?

No-that's my whole problem-They just don't show up anywhere!! I can find my tracks from the cd that I imported-no problem -and I can find clips that I have done using the audio from the camcorder-but when I try to add a cd track-render and find it in Architect it is just nowhere to be found!

Have you clicked on the Make DVD button? A couple screens in it asks WHERE you want to put your prepare folder. That's where your files that DVD-A makes will be placed.

If you can't remember what you named this folder and you completed the 'make DVD' option, you can use Window's search to find it. Use 'IFO' as you search string and check all files and folders.

You need to pay attention to which folder you render them to...When you open the "render as" dialogue, you'll be able to specify which folder you want to render to, i.e. e:/renders/Project02_16/YOURFILE.MPG

Then you can just navigate there with the explorer after opening DVD-A, drag and drop the files into DVD-A.

Press and hold the "Windows key" on your keyboard. Then press the letter "F". In the search dialog that appears type:

*.AC3

See if this turns up the missing files.

If using XP, first click on "all files and folders" in the doggie dialog box.
