Using Fx with Ultimate S Quad-Cam

What is the best way to use a filter when working with the Ultimate S Quad-Cam utility?

It seems to work at the media level, but if I apply it at the event level, it gets remove if I rerun the "Process Cameras" in Ultimate S. Is there a way to lock an event to prevent this?

I'm using Vegas Pro 8 & Ultimate S Pro 4

Thanks

Same thing happens with Sony's V8 multicam. Apply your FX at the media level and they will stay put.

Actually Ultimate S and Excalibur both let you put the effects at the event level. That's one of the advantages of the script based multi-cam tools. I'll bet the original effects were actually added at the TRACK level instead of the event level which will not be carried over to the master track.

As Edward stated, if you added FX at the Event level they would have been copied to the master track with the event. I agree with him that you must have placed them at the Track level. The reason this is not supported is because adding the FX of multiple tracks onto a single Master track will never yield the correct results. If you are doing any kind of multi-cam with Vegas, Ultimate S, or Excalibur, you only want to add FX to the media or the event. These are the only FX that are portable across tracks.

I must have had it at the track level. I tried again and it worked as you described.

Thanks!
