USING JUNK CLEANERS & INTERNET SECURITIES DETERIORATING VEGAS PRO.

seetharamaiah-velicheti wrote on 6/29/2020, 2:17 AM

Sir, I own Vegas Pro 17. Earlier, I used 360 Security for junk cleaning, Kaspersky for Internet security at the same time. After cleaning junk with 360, I noticed some plugins of my Vegas Pro don't respond properly. Now, I upgraded my Dell XPS 8300 (2012 made) with SSD hard disk, changed from NVIDEA GT1030 to NVIDEA GeForce 1050Ti, installed everything related to Vegas Pro, in C only. Now Vegas is working fantastic. I did not re-instal 360 or Kaspersky Internet Security. I am just cleaning with Windows Clean up, depending on Window's Defender's Firewall. Is it ok Sir or shall I instal any junk cleaner that would be suggested here?

All major AV programs allow file & folder exclusions. Why not use that feature. Very easy to set up. Don't forget to also exclude say d:/my_mediaAV.

You may also want to consider create backup image of your Windows OS.

So anytime in the future, when computer get troubled..., you can do 'system restore'

I've been using Norton 360 for years and have not noticed that it interferes with Vegas Pro performance.

You mention that you used 360 (assuming that you mean Norton 360) and Kaspersky at the same time on your computer. There's long been the opinion held that 2 security programs should not be installed on the one computer. Windows Defender is different I believe in that it disables itself if it detects that another security program has been installed.

Try Windows Control Panel -> Backup and Restore (Windows 7).. A leftover from W7 but works well.

Agree with Dexcon only 1 AV should be used. Alternatives to Win Defender are supposed to disable defender, some do not.
