Using Keyboard to Nudge an Event Along? V4 or V5 .. not fussy ..

TItle says it all! - Wanted to nudge frame by frame an event . . ? Want to re-synch audio and sound . . not through Excalibur, Edward, this is a final render .. has no link with initial/original captured clips . .without a lot of rummaging about . .

So, keystrokes for nudging audio OR video event along timeline - please? OR even better using Contour SHuttle Pro thingy!

Grazie, numeric 1 and 3 keys nudge by, I think, one pixel, so the amount of travel depends on how zoomed you are - to move one frame at a time, hold Ctrl while doing the same.

nudge nudge.... say no more ?

I'd love to hear an easy answer to this one too. I've done it by zooming down to the frame level on the T/L but doing that more than a few times gets mighty tedious. Is it just me or has it become harder to move things in general in V5 than it was in V4?
I was using track pan/crop recently in V5 for the first time and found the ONLY way to position things accurately was by typing numbers into boxes and that's a right royal pain. I'll admit I still haven't had the time to RTFM but I also noticed there's no presets for the pan/crop values either.

AH Pete! Yer RIpper!!! - It was the Numeric Kepy Pad I didn't know . . .

I've been wanting to to do this for since . .well, since Mum fell off the Donkey Cart! . .

Now, here's a tip. Put a Marker on the video OR the audio. Use Auto Ripple with the "Affected Tracks . . " option, middle option yeah? - and then use the Pete thing to then "creep" the event WITH its Marker until you hit the correct wave form peak in the audio . . . DONE Voila! It's a cinch . . or should that be a SYNCH!

. . . nudge nudge . .say no more .. Peter really!!!

farss, the Pan crop ommissions from V5 are a reet royal pain in the bottom! .. The nudge nudge is not being there - yeah? See the posts on this . .I believe Sony are on the case . .

Thanks lads .. .

Grazie, both the 1&3 combination and 4&6 combination on the keypad will "nudge". 1&3 works by frames and 4&6 work by pixels.
