Same as for v15: you edit the contour shuttlepro settings files (ie create new set for vegas16.exe). You don't do anything inside Vegas itself.

VEGAS 16 profiles are installed with the application. If memory serves, they are in root install directory.

How to connect new version of Vegas to existing settings.

Thanks David...that did the trick.

Guys, all the procedures above are dancing around the simple procedure to read in a new set of shuttle preferences that are delivered with each new release. Refer to your Shuttle pro man pages.

1. Open the Shuttle control panel

2. Select "Import settings" from the 'Options' dropdown.

3. Navigate to the "/ProgramFiles/VEGAS/VEGAS PRO 16.0/VEGAS Pro 16 -- ShuttlePRO v2.pref" (or other file)

4. Click 'OPEN'

5. BE SURE TO CLICK 'APPLY'

6. Close Shuttle control panel

Done! -

Don't forget to import the settings for your Sony Video Capture executable too. The .pref file for that is also in the VEGAS Pro 16.0 folder.

You have to do this with each new release as the Shuttle executable has no way to know a new version of VEGAS has been installed.

@D.Anne That's fine but it won't copy over any user-customized settings.

I customize my settings so I reconnect rather than use the defaults.
