Using Takes

I know placing footage from the trimmer into a scene, as a ‘Take’ is easy however how can I set up a scene on the timeline then either copy it or drag into another scene as a ‘Take’?

When I right click within the trimmer window it wont drag onto the time line. (This is how VF worked and it was fine, however the trimmer in VV seems shitty) Am I doning something wrong!
