V14 Saviing files - Extension still ghastly upper case?

One of the really annoying things about Vegas 13 is the way it forces file name render names to use upper case eg .MP4 instead of .mp4. It does this even if the user specifically types mp4. I loathe upper case file extensions. Just wondring if this bug (yes, I think it's a bug) has been addressed in V14. Thanks.

I don't get too hung up on those things, but I looked through my Vegas 14 trial renders and found this.

Thanks for the screenshot - that's encouraging. I might just give V14 a go.

Photoshop defaults to lower case extensions, with a box to untick to disable the default. Since the rest of the file name uses upper case letters (eg DSC_1234) I like the extension to be the same, so I always untick the box. We all have our pet hates.

My Vegas 13 has never generated all caps extensions with Mainconcept AVC MP4, Sony AVC MP4, VfW AVI, Quicktime MOV or XDCAM MXF. It does do all caps with XAVC MXF, XAVC-S MP4 extensions and XDCAM EX MP4. Anything else I've not tested.

So you need to test all output formats and I'll bet since it is not systemic that V14 is probably the same as V13. I wonder if anyone has ever reported this quirk.
