v16 - separate audio tracks on import?

If I have audio from two different sources that was recorded to the same file, but panned full left and full right, in older versions of Vegas, when I dragged the video file onto the timeline, it would create a separate track for left and right channels. In v16, it's putting both channels on one track, and I have to duplicate the tracks and then select left and right channel individually on each track. Is there a setting somewhere (I looked in the Audio tab of preferences) to make it import the audio on separate tracks?

Under OPTIONS PREFERENCES import Stereo as Dual mono

"Import Stereo as Dual mono" has been in the "Options> Preferences> General" menu since a later build of VP-9 as I recall.The default was always 'stereo' AFAIK.
