V18: Any rendering changes?

Sorry, I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the V18 posts, so haven't noticed whether this has been answered:

What has changed, if anything, in rendering?

I create 3D videos and 360VR, so am keenly interested in rendering side-by-side and top/bottom full 3D videos up to, and beyond, 4K.

Is this possible yet?

A number of render and project templates seemed to disappear in V17, is this still the case in V18?

Any other rendering changes of interest?

Unfortunately, as of now the 4K render limit still applies for 360 video, they haven't yet made presets that allow for higher resolutions...

As for rendering, this test I did on my system shows a 2x improvement in speed.

Thank you both for responding.

This is very disappointing...

@3d87c4 you really just need to download the trial and give it a shot.

There are too many variables that can affect how it's going to work for *you* which nobody else can accurately predict.

It's free. Give it a try.

System 1:

Windows 10
i9-10850K 10 Core
128.0G RAM
Nvidia RTX 3060 Studio driver [most likely latest]
Resolution        3840 x 2160 x 60 hertz
Video Memory 12G GDDR5

System 2:

Lenovo Yoga 720
Core i7-7700 2.8Ghz quad core, 8 logical
16G ram
Intel HD 630 gpu 1G vram
Nvidia GTX 1050 gpu 2G vram
