V4 FX install over old ones or add new?

I'm waiting on the boxed set but was wondering if installation of V4 adds the same plugins with the new features to the plugin list. The beta adds 'EQ beta' and all the others.
Just wondering if I'm going to have a double list of all the Sonic Foundry plugs?
Or will it over write?
Do the new plugs work in V3?

The SF plugins don't double-up, but do just overwrite the old ones. Suffice to say, you won't notice any difference in other products unless they support FX automation, as the plugins remain the same as before. In Vegas 3, you won't notice any difference, apart from the addition for the new resonance filter (which is v.cool with the automation).

As an aside, it's probably about time SF thought about upgrading a lot of what were originally XFX 1,2 & 3. They really do pale in comparison to the Waves stuff and, although it'd be foolish to expect quite as much (Waves are very expensive), I really do think it'd be nice for them to be brought up to date. For example, it's a shame to have to use Waves Supertap just because I want a simple BPM-based delay. Having to convert BPM to MS is a pain. Moreover, to my ears at least, the compressors - such as the Track Compressor - really don't sound too hot.
