The longer I work in Vegas (in a single session), the slower it responds to everything... and when I render (video or audio only) the audio will stutter, cutting in and out. This only happens after I've been working for awhile. A clean boot of the machine will bring it back to speed. I've scanned for viruses (none found), I've examined the 'processes' in task manager and found nothing taking up CPU time except for Vegas. While examining the performance (in task manager), Vegas doesn't seem to be using much of my computers resources (CPU or memory) when it's acting sluggish OR when its running healthy. The system is a dual CPU P3 1GHz/1GB RAM.

any ideas?
