V4 Mpg2 in Quick Time

This is related to my problem with rendering QT from Vegas. I tried to convert the mpg2 file in Quicktime and I get a dialogue that "a component is missing." Any Thoughts?

You need to install QuickTime on your system. Due to licensing restrictions, it is not included with the Vegas 4 installer. You'll find it on the apple web site (www.apple.com), their current download version is 6.3 which will work for the QuickTime 5 plug-in (the plug-in requires at least version 5.02).

Update: You'll need to do a custom install, just select everything in the list. By default, it does not include the authoring components which may be what you are missing. I've found that there is so much interdependence among the QT components, it's easiest to install everything.
