V5 demo timeout but I have now purchased.

Before I get on the un-install, install merry-go-round could some one help me out please?

I had Vegas 5 running in demo mode which eventually timed out. I then on another computer purchased Vegas 5 + DVD upgrade from V4 which I also have on my machine with Sound Forge 7 and Acid4.

So now I have the e-mailed serial number but how do I get it into Vegas 5?
Is the demo different to the full download?
Do I have to un-install, download and re-install?

When you try to run the demo it should ask you to enter the serial number. Once you've done this it becomes the full version. There shouldn't be any need to reinstall or download anything different.

When I run the demo I get a box with this message:

Your Vegas® Trial has Expired
If you would like to continue using Vegas software click the Buy Now link below.

There are only two choices "Buy Now" or "Close"

The "Buy Now" takes me to the shop so that looks like a dead end to me.

Is there a "Purchase by Phone" option on one of those screens? That usually lets you enter in your serial number.

The "Purchase by Phone" box gives my computer ID and a serial number but asks for an activation code:
______________
Once you have completed your order, enter your new activation code here and click Submit:

At the screen that asks you to enter an activation code (found after clicking "purchase over the phone"), enter your new serial number. It should then prompt you to register, and away you go.

SonyJ Do, Thanks.
>'At the screen that asks you to enter an activation code ..enter your new serial number.'

That worked.

I did not do that myself because I'm an experienced user arn't I and I know the difference between a serial number and an activation code.
That'll teach me not to be so smart.
