Just as well: the text generator is still broken (no ANSI 145 to 151).

Was that upgrade or full price? Anyone know if it'll be part of the upgrade?
PAW wrote on 4/19/2004, 4:52 AM

It was the upgrade from V4+DVDA

I am just doing a quick render test and my dual Xeon hyperthreaded processors are clocking 100% they would never normally get above 60%

:-)

I'm still not finding the upgrade page anywhere. Haven't gotten the email yet, either. Red & MB - even LE versions - is great! What was the price for the whole package upgraded?

I'm gonna be gone all day on two shoots. Won't be able to play with it until tonight. Irony...

I got my card in ready to order so someone help before I hyperventilate and pass out.
TorS wrote on 4/19/2004, 5:20 AM
That's the one. Probably two lines of it.

OK, I am beginning to panic. My serial number won't fit and I keep getting an "invalid serial" message. Before anyone asks, I do have a legally purchased copy
PAW wrote on 4/19/2004, 5:32 AM

If you are upgrading to Vegas+DVDA you will need to use the DVDA serial number, this will have been on the original email you received when you ordered V4

RafalK, shoot me an email with your SN via this form and I'll take a look.
DataMeister wrote on 4/19/2004, 5:33 AM
Vegas+DVD requires the serial number on the DVD Architect Manual. The upgrade for standalone Vegas, uses the serial number from the Vegas manual. Depends on which upgrade you are wanting.

Yeah. What JB said. Right on.

Stupid question here, what if any difference between buying the thing in the box and downloading it? Seem to recall V4 all you got was a box with a CD and a rather scimpy manual, the full manual you still had to print out. If that's still the case I guess the best deal is to download it.
Anyone know if local distributors have boxed copies already?

Given the possible attractiveness of downloading it I have to wonder why anyway would make the effort to distribute the thing. The local guys are a mighty decent bunch who do a lot of work promoting Vegas but....
Jessariah67 wrote on 4/19/2004, 5:38 AM
Okay, I was going to the "Buy" page...didn't even look at the upgrade in the right corner. Thanks TorS.
SonyKSA wrote on 4/19/2004, 5:42 AM
Local distributors may already have product. Best phone first to be safe.

If you get the download, the only things you're missing are the CD, the printed quick start guide, the keyboard short cut card, and the box itself.
ScottW wrote on 4/19/2004, 5:44 AM
Sigh.... The web site won't take my money. Says it encountered an error and to call Sony, who doesn't open for a little while yet.

Oh well. Guess I'll just have to try later.
SonyKSA wrote on 4/19/2004, 6:27 AM
Scott, could you give it another try now?
ScottW wrote on 4/19/2004, 6:33 AM
It seems to be working now. Thanks!
