Yes -- this would be great to have a more in-depth understanding of beyond marketing hype. A technical "article," like the one on the improved rendertimes as done by the engineer here some time ago would be wonderful -- no "secrets" revealed, just generalized info on optimizations from V5 to 6.

I hate to bump topics, but I'd really like to know what the difference is in how version 6 handles frame rate conversion. Does anybody know? I've done a number of searches and can't find the answer anywhere.

I believe they just tweaked the algorithm to produce a better result.

Dude, I have no clue how. I just know that one of the Sony developers said they tweaked the algo for frame rate conversions once before. Maybe they will chime in on the thread and let us know.

Well however it works, it works well. I just did a 24p render that looks much better than it would have in version 5. I'd really love to know why.
