I captured some clips, it was about to add them to the media pool and I got this.

I don't normally use the Vegas Capture utility, but this afternoon, I needed to capture a single eleven-minute segment of video from a PD150. I got into the advanced capture mode of the Vegas v6 Capture utility for the first time since I installed v6. I shuttled the PD150, marked my in and out points and told Vegas to capture. It captured fine, but then it hung up displaying the hourglass immediately after the capture was done. There was no error message, but I did have to get into Task Manager and end the Vegas process to regain control of my machine. I didn't capture anything else to confirm that this is a repeatable problem, the file was usable and I really needed to finish this project by tomorrow morning. I moved on and will try capturing some more stuff tomorrow.

This is the first problem I have had with Vegas v6, but I finally had one and can now join the rest of the group.

I captured two tapes today with many clips from PD170... no problem/crash here. Keep my fingers crossed I guess. This'll be my first V6 project.

Are you using Media Manager. I tried captureing without it and would get the freeze. I reinstalled with Media Manager adn now it works fine.

As a matter of fact, I did have the Media Manager installed, but had turned off via the preference setting. Tomorrow when I try to capture again, I'll turn it back on and see what happens.
