Yes! Imported a DVD I had authored with 5.1 surround with V7, have nice mpegs with 5.1 surround. Drop on timeline and get the audio in 4 timelines with the correct pans set.

I was never able to do that with V6 even with BeSweet or other tools, too much monkeying around. Nicely self-contained now.
