V7 not saving preferences - ideas?

Quick question:

In V7, it's not saving my preferences, do I need to save those specifically to some default file? For example, I check the option where play bar is stop /pause in options.. save it in one project file, but that doesn't become the default setting for newly created projects... this didn't happen in V4-6, anyone else have that?

I only need to do: Tools > Prefs > Make Spacebar and F12 Play/Stop .. and it's done.

Well, Ken, I just repeated what you are saying and I can't re-pro here. I created a RETURN-Bar (the defualt) and PAUSE-Bar project. The PAUSE-Bar project works and now ALL new projects use the Spacebar as a Stop/Pause.

. . . this didn't happen in V4-6, anyone else have that?

V7 is working for me.
