V8 crashes on SD mpeg2

I shot some SD mpeg2 video on my little CX-7 by mistake, but I need the shots so I'm going to end up using it. Anyway, Vegas 7 handles these widescreen SD mpeg2 clips really well, but Vegas 8 locks up and crashes with them.

Sounds like a similar issue I'm having in the thread "Multiple random crashing......"

By any chance did you split scenes when you captured? I ask this because I am seeing that it is not REALLY random in my case. It seems to crash when it runs into a scene split that it doesn't like..... but then that same scene works fine in 7d
