Here is the email I got from the developers:

"Yes, there was a problem in the past, but it was fixed on the backend, so I’m not happy to hear it has popped up. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Let’s start by reinstalling the eCommerce engine: Please run this: http://www.newbluefx.com/images/downloads/updater_windows_ews.exe"

As I said, I do not have knowledge about computers, but this definitly solved my problem.

V8s been solid for me, however I'm still using whatever the first release of V8 was, not the V8b... maybe that would help, eg reinstalling the original V8?

The one persistent hassle with all versions of Vegas I've used (on winxp 4gigs ram e6660 dualcore fast pc), is that I can't click on another application, eg a browser window or windows explorer, then go back to Vegas in any reasonable timeframe..

Most windows applicaitons, eg AE, C4D etc, you can go from one to another with ease, quickly - but with Vegas, once you temporarily "leave" it, eg go to another application, it seems it takes at least 15-30 seconds for Vegas to start working again when you try and go back to it... eg it's locked up and nonresponsive for awhile before it "sees" your mouse and starts working- very very frustrating - anyone else? (I've seen this on all Vegases from 6 forward)..

Thanks,
it would seem then that this would only be relevant to those running the NewBlue FXs.
