V9.0c Import XML script crashes.

This is a iMovie project exported as XML out of iMovie.
Opening the XML file I can see quite a few things that Vegas might not be happy about however if I can at least get the basic EDL guts of the thing into Vegas I'd be over 80% of the hurdles. Heck even a printed human readable hardcopy would help.

I could write some code to massage this XML file myself or I could simply keep on doing a matchback by eyeball. That's becoming very tedious so anything that help would be good.

Bob.

Well.................
I got close enough to same me a LOT of work.

Import the XML to Access '07, it creates a table called "file" which is a list of the files used in the sequence they're used in the project.
The file names are useless but they use the date and time stamp of the clip and Vegas project media displays this.

I know this isn't perfect but just this simple trick will cut the time of my eyeball matchback in half. Combine that with another trick I and I'll have this knocked over by Xmas.

The other trick was to use Track Motion to get the AR of the SD sample DVD to match the HDV. The next part was to switch track 1's compositing mode to Difference.

I might not have explained any of this very well, then again I might be the only one on the planet stupid enough to even try this. If you'd like to know more please ask, I just don't want to type 5,000 words for nothing :)

Vegas + Access '07 = Merry Xmas for Bob.
