V9 Auto Preview Not Working

I'm all of the sudden unable to use the preview window to look at stills and clips in V9. Here are the symptoms with the autopreview button ON:

JPEGs: A blank screen.
DV: Audio plays - no video.

Loading JPEGs or DV in the trimmer works fine.
JPEGs or DV on the timeline works fine.

I'm running 64 bit V9 on a 64 bit Vista Core i7 machine.

I'm pretty sure this was working after my initial install. I've rebooted twice and the problem is still here. Hoping someone has an answer. If not I'm back to 8.1 to finish my current project.

Disable the show video monitor button in the trimmer tab,
and you should have your auto preview functioning properly.
(this complaint always arises...lol)

Thanks. That fixed it. What's this all about anyway? Seems very odd to me.

This is due to a new trimmer preview feature which came with version 8.0c (version 8.1 was based on 8.0b).

So actually your preview worked fine when you tried but source preview happened in the trimmer window.
