Variation on the render hang

I apologize in advance if this rehashes some of the material in a recent post, but I'm seeing two "types" of render hang discussed for long-form renders in Vegas 6. In mine, I'm not getting an error message. The render just goes for about 45 minutes (on a nested timeline) and then--stops. Sits on one frame (different frames in two tries) and I have to hit cancel on the progress bar window, then close Vegas, etc.

Is this likely a CPU overheating? I have Dynamic RAM set to 0 because that's necessary to get a full-version Boris FX plugin to work. BTW, this did not happen when I rendered a good two-hour project from Vegas 5d.

First off, what format are you rendering? Is it DVD NTSC MPEG2?

(Replying to Shane--I'm vitalforce at a diff. computer)

Trying to render from nested .veg project on the timeline, to MPEG-2 NTSC template called 'DVD Architect 24fps video stream'. (The .veg references NTSC DV captured from a DVX100 at 24p.)
