Register them with your unlock code, and they'll quit asking.

I am assuming you're talking about NewBlue FX, Inc. filters.

I'd suggest contacting NewBlue to find out what the deal is, they'll probably have a better idea, and you can then post the solution here :)

Perhaps slightly random, perhaps not - but if you are running Vista, run Vegas as administrator once, and that'll allow the activation to be remembered.

I have register them on the internet twice. Once when I bought them, and now again. I am using winxp sp2. I'll try again but this is really frustrating because the editing computer with the plugs usually is not connected to the internet.

Got it! Thank you very much.

Well, I've been editing all day and Vegas Pro crashed. When I restarted Vegas half of the blue fxs needed to be reactivated.

Is anyone else experiencing anything similiar to this?

just a stab in the dark here, but had you successfully closed and re-opened Vegas since you activated those plugs? Really though, this sounds like something you should contact NewBlue about.

I'd be interested in finding out what they have to say

Hello, we've recently heard variations of this problem from two people. It seems to be some sort of conflict between our eCommerce system and Vegas 8. We're investigating and will post an update as soon as it is fixed. It hits some people but not others, so it is somewhat hard to pin down. Since you can repro this, would you be willing to help by testing? If so, please go to our contact page and send a message. http://www.newbluefx.com/contact.html and we'll be in touch with you.

We've successfully repro'd the problem and have a fix for it. The new bits are in testing. However, you can download these and install them if you'd like to get going. Note that you will not need to re-register the plugins (saving one more trip to your internet connected machine.)

We have these out with a few testers right now, and as soon as we have verification that everything is rock solid, we will post to our site.

Thanks much, NewBlue. Wow... there are several companies around here providing such amazing support that you want to tell everyone about their great products. NewBlue, Cineform, BluffTitler... for starters.

Awesome! Great job. We really enjoy using your products with Vegas 8 Pro.

right re great support from NewBlue... their plugins rock.. I use them on every single render from vegas... great job with them!

testing the newblue plugins on V8 with my winxp machine, didn't need to enter serials or even re-install them, they're there and ready to use... I hope to see a lot more plugins from new blue (esp. titler/pro titler templates/settings or related), I'm a buyer.

keep up the great work!
