VBR or CBR option??

Previously I've been using Pinnacle Studio 9.5 and before rendering and burning a DVD there was an option to encode using VBR (Variable Bit Rate) or CBR (Constant Bit Rate).

I've been looking for this option in DVD Architect but can't seem to find it. Am I just overlooking this option or does it not exist in the Architect software?

thanks.

I think you need the Pro version of DVD Architect to get such options. The Studio version doesn't have a lot of options.

As long as you encode your video to a format that is compliant according to specs that DVD Architect uses, dvd architect will not need to re-render / re-compress the video and burn it as is to the dvd.

Mind you the video would need to be CBR when you import into your DVDA project:

If you import a non-compliant type of video into dvd architect, then it will compress / recompress and it will always use a Variable bit rate.
