VCD Burning Issue

Hi...
I'm having a lot of trouble burning a VCD that isn't glitchy. I'm using mpg1. I have burned them before and they seemed fine. A bit grainy, but fine.
This time however, all I can seem to do is make a nice assortment of coasters.
I've defragged and re-booted, I've played the rendered file multiple times....I've even dragged the rendered .mpg file back onto the timeline of VF and it plays fine.
Glitches always happen in the same place after the burn, but are not there while viewing the rendered .mpg.
I've dropped the burn speed down to 2x and even 1x, no luck
I have burned a CDRom from the exact same rendered .mpg file (12x) and it autoplays beautifully in Windows Media Player..not a glitch to be found..but I just can't get a VCD to burn properly.
Does anyone have any suggestions that may help?
Thanx in advance.......df

Your lucky you can even get one to play... I just recently purchased Video Factory 2.0-c and I can't even get the VCD to play in my player. I am have the same issues as you with the grainy fuzzy video.
If you could tell me how to get the B**ch to play in my player...I would greatly appreciate it..
I have HP 8200 CD Writer Plus and a GO Video DVD/VCD/CD/MP3 player.
thanks in advance.

I can imagine the frustration...!!
But what is more frustrating is that I have done it in the past and now for some unknown reason I cannot....I find that more frustrating than anything.
I'm assuming you got your version of concept 1 mpg....?? Your registration code and all that.....from Sonic Foundry....??
I just ordered I....not sure if I should spend the $100.00 USD for II or not.
The only tips I could possibly offer are...keep your drive clean, and defrag often. That seemed to make a difference....(not this time however)
I'll keep checking back to see if anyone else has any tips.........ttyl.....df
