VCD Formatting

How do I burn to VCD correctly. I compile MPEG1 within SF and then burn to VCD using Roxio's platnum package. The VCD plays in my PC DVD but it will not play in my home DVD. My home DVD states it plays "Video Disc's" and "DVD" but it will not recognize my VCD. Is there a way to burn from SF without using the Roxio utility? Are there other formats of Video Disc that I am not aware of?

Some DVD players will only play certain types of VCD's. A friend of mine has a Sony and it will only play CD-RW VCD's not CD-R's. Go to vcdhelp.com for a list of DVD players and their capabilities.
