I have previously experienced a brick wall in importing certain MP3 audio files into Vegas that now seems to be corrected in V10.0a.
I often load MP3 files of local government meetings (1 to 6 hours in duration) from a local government web site. These particular MP3's have previously caused Vegas to freeze during the "building peaks" process, or take multiple hours to load. I resorted to pre-rendering them to WMA format using Microsoft Windows Media Encoder.
However, I noticed in the Release Notes for V10.0a the line, "Improved the MPEG-2 reader" and wondered.... so, I just now dropped a troublesome MP3 into V10.0a and am greatly pleased to report that the file loaded immediately!
