The new Video Effects Plug-in SDK (Software Developer’s Kit), based on the Open Effects Association platform, provides updated and enhanced technology that enables third-party plug-in developers to develop advanced video effect plug-ins more easily and rapidly. These additional plug-ins offer Vegas Pro 10 editors a wider variety of effects and special techniques for creating professional-level projects.
Does this mean that Vegas 10 instantly opens up plugins already available? Or do the plugin developers have to go back and revise them based on Vegas 10's "Open Effects Association Platform"? There are a zillion plugins out there (e.g., Red Giant Software products) that are frequently used with Final Cut, After Effects, etc. My question is: how does this new "architecture" help us access them?
